Farm to Fortune Harvest Guide: Reap More From Every Tile

The Farm to Fortune harvest guide: when to harvest, combine automation, rain timing, withering risk, and how harvests turn into contract payouts.

Harvesting is where planting pays off, and Farm to Fortune's achievements reward doing it at scale: 100 machine runs, 200-tile combine passes, and clean harvest streaks. This guide explains how to harvest efficiently without inventing any numbers.

Quick Answer

Harvest mature tiles daily, use the combine machine for large blocks (Reap What You Sow, Long Haul at 200 tiles per run), harvest during rain for free watering credit on the next planting, and route everything either to the stall or the contract truck — whichever pays the bonus.

The combine comes first

Hand-harvesting works until your grid outgrows it. The combine (Reap What You Sow) harvests a mature block in one pass; Long Haul wants 200 tiles in a single run, which is why rectangular, unobstructed fields matter. Mechanised counts 100 machine runs — harvesting daily naturally gets you there.

Timing the harvest

  • Daily checks: crops mature on the game's growth timers, so walk the farm each day
  • Rain days: harvesting during rain is safe — rain waters the next planting for free (Free Water, Rain Check)
  • Withering risk: Rotten Luck proves crops can spoil; do not leave mature high-value tiles standing for days
  • Greenhouse batches: Under Glass and Hothouse count greenhouse harvests — up to 10 crops per batch at 0.5x speed

After the harvest

Harvested crops go two places. The market stall pays straight value — and weekend selling earns Weekend Market. The contract truck can pay 1.5x price and 2x XP on a three-row order, and Truckload fills orders of 50+ items. Verified late-game session sales reached 156,042 coins from pumpkin, 51,359 from eggplant, and 32,433 from sweetcorn — the tier system is where harvest volume becomes a fortune.

Storage and buffers

Keep a surplus buffer of staple crops instead of selling everything. Express Delivery needs the goods on hand within a minute of the truck arriving, and full-counter selling (Full Counter) clears inventory fastest when stalls are all stocked at once.

Checklist

  • Walk the farm daily; harvest what is mature
  • Combine for blocks, rectangles for run length
  • Contract first (1.5x), weekend stall second
  • Hold a buffer for Express Delivery and Truckload
