Farm to Fortune Gameplay Guide: Every System Explained

Quick Answer

Farm to Fortune is a single-player cozy farming sim where you clear a 15x15 farm across six plots, grow 18 crops and 4 fruit trees, automate with 3 machines, and earn coins through contracts and a market stall. The game runs on a Monday-to-Sunday weekly cycle with a weekend market peak.

The farm and its plots

Your farm is a 15x15 tile grid divided into six purchasable plots. You start with one small plot and buy more as you earn. Each plot unlock is tied to an achievement (Room to Grow for the first, Fenced In for six plots, Landowner for the full grid). Every tile can hold one crop at a time.

The weekly cycle

Days run Monday through Sunday. Each day you plant, water, harvest, and sell. Crops grow in real in-game time — fast crops like grass take one day, slow crops like pumpkin take several. The weekend market has the highest selling volume, so plan your harvest around Saturday and Sunday.

Crops and fruit trees

The game tracks 18 ground crops: grass, carrot, strawberry, onion, beetroot, tomato, cabbage, potato, broccoli, sweetcorn, lettuce, cucumber, eggplant, chili, squash, bell pepper, pumpkin, and watermelon. Four fruit trees (apple, cherry, pear, lemon) produce passively once planted and don't need replanting after harvest.

The Three Sisters combo (planting beans alongside corn and squash) grants a growth bonus. Composted soil grows crops faster.

Machines

Three machines automate the heavy work:

  • Seeder — plants an entire plot in one pass
  • Spreader — distributes compost or fertiliser across a large area
  • Combine — harvests a mature block in seconds, collecting crops and plant waste

Each machine covers a large area per run. A single combine pass over mature sweetcorn produces 20x Sweetcorn plus waste material. Machines unlock progressively through the upgrade tree.

Greenhouse

The greenhouse grows a single batch of up to 10 crops at 0.5x growth speed regardless of season. Use it to grow high-value crops like pumpkin during the off-season. The batch locks the crop until it finishes.

Beehives

Place beehives near flowering crops. Each hive produces honey on a timer (roughly 18–36 seconds per jar). Honey sells steadily and requires no replanting. The Fill All and Collect All buttons manage multiple hives at once.

Contracts

The contract truck posts three-row orders (for example: Onion 6, Strawberry 12, Grass 19) with bonus multipliers (2x XP, 1.5x price). Contracts rotate every in-game morning. A single completed mid-game contract pays around 2,436 coins.

Upgrade tree and prestige

The shop offers an upgrade tree that unlocks better tools, machines, and infrastructure. Once you reach the end, the prestige system lets you reset progress for permanent bonuses.

The 100-achievement ladder

Steam lists 100 achievements tracking every milestone: earn 1K/10K/100K/1M coins, sell 1K/10K/100K crops, harvest 100/1K/10K/100K crops, complete the tutorial, buy every plot, and more. The final achievement — earning 1,000,000 coins — is the game's namesake goal.
